Help me with my options problem!

Hi

Recently I chose my GCSEs options and unfortunately my school cannot provide those options. I chose IT, French, Triple Science and Technology.

However the school has stated I can’t choose Technology and that I need to choose between Geography, History and Sport.

Now I absolutely hate all three subjects I literally hate them with a burning passion but I still have to choose one.

Help me out please!

If you're good at sport and like biology choose sport (basically applied biology). I'd say if you'd like to go into stem/ linguistics choose geography- probably most suited to your options. But if you like English/ french culture choose history- it provides links to other essay based subjects. Not sure exactly what would suit you specifically but just what I've gathered of those subjects as a year 11

Hey,
Do you know what you wanna do for a-levels?
Personally I would say best option is between geography and history however if you HATE essays go geo ( it still has longer essay answers but much less ).
On the other hand if you HATE geo pick history as I have heard from other people who picked geo just for the trips and now really regret it as its really boring.

If you don't know just pick what you will get a highest grade in (sorry I don't know much about sport ). Some skills come natural for different people for example I can't ever pick history as I absolutely 100% struggle with essays and explanations but find memorising information such as characteristics and equations easier

I can't say anything on the sport front but I do geo. It's not too much writing but a lot of statistics within case studies and stuff. From my friends who do history there is a lot of writing but I'm fairly sure you chose a question that comes from different exam boards. I think history has more writing than geography though so if you like writing essays history may be better or if you prefer more like you're right to wrong rather than opinions geo might be better. From someone who also does triple science, biology and geography have a lot of cross over especially within aqa as well. Hope this helps you decide and good luck!

My school only offers French anyways.
I don’t know why but I have to choose between the three options - nothing else.

I'm really sorry...are you a native speaker of another language? Maybe you could ask your school to let you have your final option as being a private gcse candidate for a language you're already fluent in

That's tough. I don't do any of geo, hist, or pe, but I think geo would be the way to go because it's easier. If you like sport and biolgoy though, do pe. However, if you really hate all of them you should probably discuss with your school or teacher because they can give better advice
