sfe parents marital status

when reapplying for sfe i put my my mum as separated instead of single - my mum was never got married and split from each other a year ago , however my dad doesn't contribute financially to my studies and its only my mum who is a single parent . does anyone know how i can change this and what's the easiest way to do this as my current application for academic year 24/25 is almost the maximum and now my new application has gone down to almost the minimum which is a huge change financially and i need to get this sorted as i don't know if i should cancel my application or send a form in as I'm worried how long it will take for a response .

Does your mum get a 25% single person occupancy discount on her council tax bill? Or is her must recent council tax bill in her name only?

I'm not entirely sure it might just be in her name early and as off recently she has moved out of our current house to care for as she's now left the tenancy of the old house - very complicated situation
