are there rats at edinburgh uni?

i’ve seen a couple videos on youtube about rats and mould at edinburgh uni accommodation… i’m just a bit worried about if this is true?
the accommodation i put down is:
mylnes court
fraser
riego street
warrender park crescent
warrender park road
can uni UoE students confirm if there are rats and mould at any of this because it’s stressing me out a bit?

I've heard that there are sometimes mice in the older accomodations, and I saw in a YouTube video that someone's room in Warrneder Park Road was mouldy and she had to get a transfer. I'm going to apply to many of the same acommodations as you and I've decided that I don't really mind if there's mice (as long as they're not a huge issue or in my bedroom). If you get there and your room is in an awful state mould wise you should be able to contact the uni and get a new room, I dont think it's that big of an issue. I think that a lot of these buildings are just super old and damp so mould and mice are kind of unavoidable. I don't think you should worry about it until you move into your accomodation and you can decide then whether you're comfortable living there or absolutely not. Most years there's some people who don't show up for their courses or drop out, so there'll be empty rooms you could move into. Sorry for the whole novel!!

Im at warrender park road, no mice or rats in my flat, and havent heard anyone else complaining about it. The mould is in everyy accomidation you just have to make sure you clean, like its not that bad at all

There are rats in every city. Whether they're in the accommodation buildings is another matter, although a large part of this is going to be down to how frequently the students living there leave out food and garbage...

are there rats at edinburgh uni?
