Javier Milei economy plan

I know his plan has been radical, lots of government jobs have been cut, government departments have been abolished or merged. Has his plan made people better off? Is Musk plan to do the same in the US government will it work?

I'm not sure how comparable the 2 are. Radical as he is Milei is doing things constitutionally with the support of his Congress. Musk is an unelected vandal trying to ignore every rule or peoples right he can with the courts having to regularly intervene to stop him. His position is in fact one of the most absurd conflicts of interest ever and would never have been allowed anywhere but this orange painted cuckoo clock of a government.

Trump is not attempting to make people better off any more than he is attempting to bring down grocery prices. It was all smoke and mirrors. The motives are entirely political. We are seeing consolidation in the power of the executive, replacing professionals with party loyalists, and eliminating those responsible for oversight and accountability.

However, if you want a more relevant example to the US economy of someone slashing taxes and government spending to stimulate the economy, the Kansas experiment is a famous example. The intended economic growth did not materialise and state infrastructure started to crumble so they had to reverse the tax changes. True to his Republican ideology the Kansas Governor Sam Brownback blamed everyone but himself for his policy failings.

Governments and the related agencies are huge, there's re evaluations, cuts and expansions constantly and I can certainly see ours shrinking, but that's been on the cards a long time. I don't think we're going to go for this dramatic 'eliminating any department and sacking everyone that doesn't agree with the prime ministers extreme and daily changing rants' thing, we still have functioning checks and balances on our government.

Thanks can I one more question? Has the axed civil servants managed to find jobs or has unemployment increased? Has the economy improved
