a level history extracts

how do people structure these? my exams are less than 2 months away and my teacher still hasn’t given us a good structure of it. literally any tips would be super helpful!

I do AQA and 1F as my topic but any advice is hugely welcomed!
It would be a good idea to look for the Examiner Reports. This is where the examiners who marked this paper give some general feedback on things that were successful and things candidates struggled with:
https://www.aqa.org.uk/subjects/history/a-level/history-7042/assessment-resources?secondaryResourceType=Examiner+reports&sort=a-z

AQA also have a list of example pupil answers and an examiner's comments underneath them:
https://www.aqa.org.uk/subjects/history/a-level/history-7042/assessment-resources?secondaryResourceType=Answers+and+commentaries&sort=a-z

I will admit that other exam boards have a better grasp of this than AQA do though :erm:

I do AQA as well, In my case (And I would take this with a grain of salt since extracts are my weakest question in history but I still get high marks on them), I usually start by stating the argument within the extract as a sort of summary. Then I would go on to say how this shows the question focus after which I would evaluate the opinion presented (Was told by my teacher its usually for the best to do 2 supporting factual detail for each side of the argument) where you use SFD to support your arguments around either how it agrees with the question focus or disagrees before concluding with that particular source then moving on. You can do the three as individual essays as you don't need to compare them so just repeat this 3 times and make sure you do the question in around 50 minutes. Hope this helps!
