I've received my Yr 12 Mock results and I don't know how to feel

I sat my mocks for bio, psych and Law recently and got my results back. 3 C's. For bio that's an improvement as I was failing before but for law and psych I've gone from getting B's, A's and A*'s. This is my first year 12 Mock so there's definitely room for improvement. What I want to ask is are my grades bad? Do I have no hope in being predicted AAB? Lots of people I know have gotten top grades and it feels like Im very behind. I do have a plan tho. I will work hard for my unit assessments to prove to my bio teacher that I'm capable of getting a B at least. And I'll show my Law and psych teachers that I've been getting A's and A*'s in the past so this is just a one off. Despite this plan my parents are very disappointed in me. You could say their the strict type. Their not happy with my grades and I don't think they really listened to my plan. I was feeling alright about my grades before but after hearing all this I've become disheartened and I'm losing hope in my future. What are your honest opinions?

First of all, don't be hard on yourself. Mock exams are called that because they're only practice and you're making a plan to improve.

I would go through your exam papers with your teachers to pinpoint where you lost marks. Perhaps you misinterpreted the question, or you were running out of time and rushed some answers. They can advise you on good exam technique so you don't fall short next time.

It's tough when your parents are disappointed, but they're only feeling that way because they want the best for you. You've already said you're making a plan, so make sure to document this new targeted revision plan and show it to them to demonstrate your willingness to improve.

There's lots of online resources for this specifically on YouTube - Try this video where an A Level student went from C grades to A* https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H07RzoL8Ev0

Best of luck!
