Aston Vs Uni of Lei prestige and teaching quality for Computer Science

Hey,

I am stuck between the two the unis and really dont know which one to pick.

Out of the two which one has the better teaching quality for CS and which one is more prestigious/ looked at as better/ respected?

In terms of which one is "more prestigious/ looked at as better/ respected", I'd say Aston - but there's not much in it.

In terms of teaching quality, the National Student Survey (completed by final year student) seems to prefer Aston. See the links to The Uni Guide for further details (which is from where the screenshots come):

I thought I could shed some light on what our computer science course is like 😊

🖥️ You are able to do a year abroad or year in industry after your second year

🖥️ You can have 24 hour access to state-of-the-art computing labs that only Computing and Mathematical Sciences students can access

🖥️ You can work on a group project, providing a solution to a real-world problem and working with a real client

Students have also enjoyed being a part of the Computer Science Society!

⭐There are hackathons (short coding marathons in randomised teams) that you can participate in

⭐There are talks with professionals from various specialisms

I will also add that there is some flexibility offered where at the end of your first year, if you wish to do so, you are able to transfer onto a slightly different course under the same subject area (eg computer science with AI…).
