What else would you so doing during Year 12? Or would it just be AS level Biology and A level Mathematics (both years)?

In that case it's absolutely doable. Most people do 3 A levels over two years. You'd be doing 1.5 A levels over one year. So the workload would effectively be the same.

Have you found any university courses you're interested in? Do their entry requirements say they'd accept 1 A level and 1 AS level?

Understood. It's worth thinking of a Plan B in case you don't get into uni with those qualifications. Would you stay on into Year 13?

At the point you hope to start uni (when most people would be starting Year 13) you're likely to be 17. This can cause unis some problems. So check with any potential universities to ensure they can accept under 18s.

I can stay onto Year 13 but I'm not sure I want to

Understood. But it's good to have options. Just in case.
