A-level AQA geography coursework

Hi all, I'm in year 11 and applied for A level geography alongside biology and chemistry (I'm aiming for med so I'll endeavour for AAA minimum). I just have some questions regarding the coursework in A level geography (AQA).

-When is the coursework typically started?
-How long does it take?
-Does it take up time from your other subjects?
-Do you have to miss lessons to work on it?

My biggest worry is that it will take up a lot of my time and perhaps cause me to do less well in biology and chemistry. Is this the case?

Many thanks to anyone who can help

Hi I’m in y13 and do geography a level (edexcel) but the course work is essentially the same. We started in the January of year 12, had our field trip in April, and finalised the coursework over summer and a bit into October (y13). It isn’t difficult, but it’s finding the motivation to do it that’s tricky. It defo hasn’t taken time away from my other subjects and if you do get a good grade for it it adds to ur final a level grade. Just stay on top of it- ten minutes a day will set you wayyy ahead of cramming it in the last few days.

Thank you for the response! So you don't have to miss lessons or anything like that?
Also how are you finding A level geography?

Personally I loveeee geography paper 2 stuff mainly (human not physical) I’m good with both tbf it just clicks with me cuz it’s way more interesting.
But defo no time out of lessons, at most if someone’s really struggling they stay after school every now and then or get help during iLs (free periods).
