1.
A keepy cup - many cafes offer you a discount if you have a keepy cup and some places you can't even buy drinks to go in paper cups anymore!
2.
(Similar to above) - a Thermos flask - to bring coffee or peppermint green tea to lectures, which I'm sure you'll appreciate on a cold day
3.
A physical folder - such as an old-style ringbinder or lever arch - I found making handwritten revision notes and storing them by module very helpful. Plus, research has shown that handwritten notes improves retention over and above typed notes!

Shopping bags – Make sure you have at least one sturdy shopping bag to carry heavy items such as washing up liquid, cans, fruit, veg etc. Buying bags every time you go to a shop does add up quickly!

Double duvet - not essential but this made my room so much cosier, even though my bed was a single bed in first year I would deffo recommend this for winter as you can snuggle up and get warmer all wrapped up in a double duvet.

A clothes airer - I had this in second year, and it was a game changer. We all know or have heard about how expensive laundry can be, so saving on drying costs really helped me out when I had the space for it.

Good-quality bedding - I'm surprised I don't see this talked about more often! I recently upgraded my old, worn-out pillows for new ones, and the difference it has made is crazy. A mattress-topper is essential too, although they can be pricier. There's nothing better than getting cozy and having good-quality bedding to help you get better sleep.

Not so much something to bring, but create an organizational system for your notes - especially in advance, so you aren't scrambling and wasting time trying to piece things together. I know some who use Notion, whereas I just simply organize my files in file explorer. Whatever works for you, whether that be digitally or not, stick to it early and save yourself some stress!
