What happens after the healthy science route?
I’m considering joining UClan for biomedical sciences and switching to the Healthcare Science route after Year 1 for a placement . I wanted to know if I take the Healthcare Science route and complete the placement, is it possible to switch back to the Biomedical Science pathway for Year 2, or would I have to stay on the Healthcare Science route? Also, how different are the modules between the two pathways after Year 1? #uclan

Thank you for your message and patience. It's great to hear that you are considering studying with us. You can apply for Healthcare science after Year 1 and you would then graduate with a degree in Healthcare Science and not Biomedical. You pretty much follow the same modules but it is more focused on Pathology rather than it being broad and you have extensive placements. I have asked an academic about switching back and once I get an answer, I will get back to you. Hope this helps and if you have any further questions please let me know.
