LIPA/LMA

Anyone who can offer any advice please do!

So I'd planned to stay in Ablett House and go to LMA in September - right!

Except the reviews for LMA are making me more than nervous, and I'm on a waiting list for LIPA.

The cooling period for my accom payment ends in 3 days time, as does applying for student finance.

My option atm is applying for a 14 week course at the Lyric in Belfast, taking a gap year (deferring entry to LMA) and if LIPA calls looking me, getting up and going. (I really don't know what the chances are of that)

Will LMA give me the training I need? anyone who has went there please do give some genuine advice because I'm feeling so lost!

Just to reassure you that accommodation in Liverpool is cheap and plentiful so don't worry too much about cancelling your current booking.

I’m in the same boat, due to start the dance degree at LMA in September and have since then read lots of negative reviews. Can’t find any current LMA students willing to give their opinion of the place/training etc. Hopefully someone will reply to you …

hii, im a current first year at LMA studying musical theatre (so i cant speak for the quality of the other courses). Lets just say im not returning this Septemeber and am going to study elsewhere. This may get removed by someone at LMA as they have been reporting and getting their negative reviews removed, which speaks volumes.

Thank you! I've decided to take a gap year, and will be reauditioning for LIPA this incoming year, along with some other drama schools!!

I’m doing the dance degree. How did you find the dance side of musical theatre. What are the tutors/teachers like as I can’t find anything about them on their website apart from the Head of Dance.

Is it easy to switch if you’re not happy with the course/LMA?
