Crewe Flats Sheffield

Hey, I am currently living in Crewe Flats and here is some useful information for anyone interested.
Crewe Flats are in a really good location; we are a little closer to uni than most other places (definitely not as far as Ranmoor). It is also cheaper because of the shared bathroom situation HOWEVER, I have not experienced a single problem because of this. The grounds are gorgeous; a lovely courtyard and driveway, with tennis courts, a table tennis court, and an allotment. We also have a bike shed which is next to our own laundry room. It is a good vibe here. I have found it to be social, even if it's not necessarily as 'loud' as the rest of Endcliffe. It is very green here. When it snowed it was absolutely gorgeous.
The layout of each individual flat differs, although some are similar. Flats B, C and D have three floors: a kitchen and dining area, a toilet, and 2 bedrooms on the ground floor. 4 bedrooms and 1 bathroom on the 1st and 2nd floors. The rooms are a similar size and generally big. The walls in the bedroom are white with one accent wall, the colour of it is either a light green or a medium blue (at least in Flat B).
You need to bring your own desk lamp.
If you have any questions feel free to ask. Good luck

hi! i just booked to stay in flat d next year, which is super exciting!! i just have a question about the rooms - i saw that the kitchen/dining is the only social space, so was wondering are they a nice size? or like too crammed? also when i went to the accommodation talk for the uni in november they said the laundry is free - is this the same in crewe? thanks

Hey! I lived in crewe flats last year- honestly as long as youre not in flat J, K or L then the rooms are huge! Genuinely 2-3x as big as other endcliffe rooms so youll be fine, I took lots of furniture and never once had an issue fitting it in. Laundry has changed in the year I havent been there however from what i know its not 'free' its included in the charge for the room now, so could say its free i guess

Hello,
Thank you so much for posting this, and it's very kind of you to offer to help answer questions about accommodation in Crewe. I have a couple of questions?
Could i clarify - Flats B, C, D does it refer to different blocks? and when you say there are 3 floors - each floor has a kitchen and dining area?
How many blocks are there in Crewe?
I have read that shared bathrooms and kitchens are only cleaned once in two weeks. Has that ever been an issue?

Thank you

Flats B, C and D are like their own house each. Each of them have 3 floors, the kitchen and dining area are on the bottom floor of each 'house' (flat). I'm not sure how many 'blocks' are in Crewe, I think they go all the way to 'U' but these flats have different layouts. Some of them are one floor each. It is true that we have a cleaner come in once every two weeks, I have never considered this to be a problem.
Sorry for such a late reply.

No problem about the delay- really appreciate your taking the time to reply, getting this insight is really helpful.

My son has reserved Flat S. He loves to cook and is looking forward to uni life. Interesting to note that the kitchen is on the ground floor, and good to hear that cleaning has not been an issue 😅.

Thanks once again
