A number of people who do Access courses normally do this. In fact a lot of Access courses at offline colleges tend to allow you to do 2 GCSEs (namely English Language and Maths) alongside the course.

A standard Access course should require you to do study 15 hours lesson time and you should do another 15 for homework/self study equating 30 hours per week.
A normal GCSE would require 200 hours of study, and if you do the 200 hours of revision on top, that's 400 hours in total. They normally cover this over the course of 4 months or so. This means you need 50-100 hours per month of study, or roughly another 10-20 hours per week (more likely 10).
So you can cover both the Access course in 25 hours of classroom time, and 50 if you are intensive with the revision and start everything from scratch.
