a level choices

I know its early because i'm in year 10 but I was wandering what other people chose for their a levels and how hard it was because i definitely want to do biology and chemistry and I want to know how hard it is and stuff so i would like your opinion please, but im more stumped between maths and physics for my 3rd choice because I prefer physics because im better at it now but apparantly maths is easier for a levels but my teachers aren't exactly the best for maths however for physics they are all nice and i learn better, im just quite nervous though because I don't want to pick an unnecessarily hard subject but I also want to enjoy it and do well so which one do you guys think I should pick? Maths of Physics?

Hey
First of all, your biggest "worry" right not really shouldn't be your A-Levels if you are in y10, you have to get through your GCSE's first. However, I appreciate that you are trying to plan your future out.

In terms of subjects being hard, ALL of A-Level subjects are hard, especially stem subjects. In terms of maths or physics, the best thing is to do what you are good at and enjoy the most, because that is the one you are most likely to persevere with and get a better grade in when things get tough( and they sure do).
Biology and chemistry will also be hard, however that is just the process of going through education. There would be no point if it wasn't hard. If they are subjects you enjoy then go ahead and pick them. I have loved doing A-Level biology even when it has been challenging!

Yo! I'm in year 12 doing bio, chem, maths and Eng lit. I love biology and chemistry and find them fine difficulty wise. The step up from GCSE to A level chem is quite big as you can no longer get away with rote learning stuff, but as long as you enjoy it and don't mind putting a bit of work in if you're stuck you'll be fine. Biology content is straightforward but there is a shedload of itso that's worth thinking about, but again if you enjoy it it's fine. Maths again is alright, and in fact I enjoy it more now than at GCSE, but I also know people who hate it now so probably think carefully about taking it. Physics, based on what friends have said, is harder than maths, and it's also worth noting that many schools strongly encourage maths alongside physics. That's not to say you can't do physics without maths, but it would make the course more difficult and it would be worth speaking to your teachers about taking physics without maths. Have you thought about starting with 4?
