Dropping out; Student Fees.

Hello,

I am student studing Natural Sciences at King's College London, and I feel that this degree is not complete with clearly some promises being made but not fulfilled. Hence, this is leaving me feeling like I want to drop out of University to pursure working Full time and applying to some Degree apprenticeships or overall - apprenticeships.

Furthermore, this is the first year that Natural Science has ran at this University, with clear lack of preparation and organsation put into this degree, with clearly most of the cohort has not recieved what they expected and made numerous complaints to the module leader - thus leading to me feeling like I want some kind of form compensation for this first year.

I don't want to leave University with loans and want to start working full time without the pressure of loans from an incomplete degree.

What should I do? I feel extremely stressed with my mental health detoriating at the thought of the student loan with a degree that I do not feel like its worth the money and hassle.

Please, any response will be appreciated.

Why don't you just drop out now? You'll only be left with like 4k loans

I am considering it, but I am also looking at the chance of refunding.

The chances of you getting a refund will likely be quite low (especially since it's nearly the end of first year) unless you follow proper legal procedures which will take effort and time.

Since you're at kings, you're probably better off asking the kclsu for more advice rather than on here.

Do you think it is possible that I can send a formal complaint and drop out before May 7th, then that way if the refund goes through, I can get it and drop out in Uni time?

I am considering complaining how the second year modules are not being set as it was expected. Furthermore, the method that some modules are assessed with feedback. There are some more, but I am not too sure its suitable for a compensation like refunds.

It'd probably be more plausible if everybody on your course did this. Does everybody feel the same way as you do?

Only regarding the second year modules, there was no maths module, little biology modules. Furthermore, there was several complaints regarding modules.
