Switching from degree to apprenticeship

Shall I drop out university right now to work full time on a 9-5 with 4k loan from student finance and then apply for apprenticeships next year?

Or stay with my course (Natural Science) and apply for internship but end up with 30k loan with no guarantee of a job, and this degree is shaky rn.

Any response will be appreciated.

Given the completion rate for degree apprenticeships is only 60% there’s no guarantee that you will finish the apprenticeship and end up with better prospects than you would have from your degree. Assuming that you even get accepted onto an apprenticeship.
Are you unhappy with the subject/content of your degree? Have you spoken to anyone at your university about your experience and concerns?
Why not apply to some apprenticeships while carrying on with your studies to see if there are any employers and courses that you think you are likely to complete.

If you are taking Nat Sci, you are very employable - far more than anyone doing a single subject STEM degree. Have you got a placement coming up? This is where you will either get your first job offer or at least a very good job reference and lots of useful contacts. What is it that's making you feel this glum, is it course related or just 'Uni'?

I am extremely unhappy with everything about this degree, I have addressed issues before but with a lack of emphaisis on how disheartened and lack of ambition for this course, as I have hoped that this course will build momentum. Furthermore, I have considered applying for apprenticeships whilst studying, but that would mean I have to pay more in terms of student loan and I don't mind working 9 to 5 simultaneously applying for apprenticeships.

In terms of being employable, I am not too sure what field I can get into. I am considering IB, accounting etc, but I feel like I would gain more value from applying for apprenticeships in those fields. I do have a year in industry lining up, but I would have to personally find them and apply, but again I would like to start working as early possible with little debts accumulating. Mainly, I hate this course cause of its lack of structure, clarity and ability for me to specialise without having to take a Masters cause of the lack of module selections for specific fields.

I am sorry for this being a long thread, but I also genuinely do not enjoy studying at King's College London, which is not a huge factor but it is something that still actively deters me away from doing this course. I am also considering transferring courses, but I think this will be unlikely.

Is your Personal Tutor or similar aware of how you are feeling?

I have a meeting with him today, but he was partially aware cause he knows how I'm feeling but not the extent that I'm emphasizing on.

Good. Be very honest with him about how you are feeling now.

But the thing is, even if I do tell him I don't think my feelings will change regarding this degree, I would still feel between dropping out and staying in without making a decision.

I have talked to him about my circumstance, he reccomends me to go into Biomedical Engineering which may lead to me joining in the second year, which is still quite a low chance. Do you have any idea how student finance would work?

I've talked with him, he suggests me to transfer courses, do you know what would happen with student finance?
