Special support loan

Hi. In September 2024 I stated a pgce with maintenance loan funding.

Unfortunately I had to withdraw a few weeks after the start date due to medical.

I did receive my first payment but was never paid the special support element of it.

If I sent in a cover letter can I get this added onto that (reimbursement). As I’m not sure why that wasn’t paid out in the first instance but I can provide all necessary evidence that I am eligible (PIP)

Hi Oliver,

You can certainly upload a copy of your PiP letter and this will be reviewed by our assessment team: if they're able to award you the Special Support element of the Maintenance Loan then they'll let you know.
