Year 12 Grades

Is BBC in A-Levels okay for year 12, is it unlikely I'll get an AAA in year 13 ?

I went from CCCA in my Y12 mocks to predicted grades of AAAA* in Y13 to my most recent mock results being A*A*AB so it's definitely possible, just need to put the work in especially over the summer.

how did your revise during the summer, and how much did you do

not sure what subjects you do but here's what i did for bio, chem, music and maths:

maths and chem - both volume subjects, did lots of AS past papers under timed conditions and made sure i would understand any mistakes thoroughly and reattempt the questions I got wrong in another colour. Literally prepared me so well for Y13 as a lot of the new content was built from Y12. I would do one or two papers per subject per week depending on time and other factors. This brought my chem grade up massively to the A* and the maths to a B.

bio - past papers but less emphasis on timing, more on what the mark scheme typically asks for and spotting patterns in questions. Mind maps and anki flashcards also helped the memorisation aspect. Never really struggled with the subject (this is the one i got an A in Y12 in) so was doing about 3x30 min a week just focusing on refining for A* content.

music - not going to lie this is a hard one to revise for. lots of specific points so i would recommend anki/quizlet for essay based answers and longer questions requiring niche information. relaxed practice targeting a specific type of question for around 30 minutes at a time 3 times a week again.
