IELTS or IELTS UKVI?

I have conditional offer from one of the courses of Postgraduate course and I am planning to take pre-sessional English course to meet my language requirements. I have already submitted my IELTS score, that is IELTS, not IELTS UKVI. Does IELTS score work for that? or... do I have to take IELTS UKVI, or any other Visa and Immigration approved SELT (Secure English Language Test) ??

It totally depends on your residency, if you are from EU countries and hold pre-settle status or settle status then you should give Ielts academic…….. because Ielts UKVI is for visas and immigration.

Hi @Tomohiro Otake

Congratulations on your conditional offer!

I don't know if you've already received confirmation from the university, but I thought I'd reply just in case.
If you do not require a visa, the regular IELTS test should be sufficient, as long as you meet the minimum required score. However, if you require a visa, the UK visa and immigration application would most likely require an IELTS UKVI (taken at a UKVI-approved test center).

I hope this helps 🙂
