how do i log in? it says i need a student number but i never got that.

There's about 5 different links at the bottom for different options of how people might not be able to log in, so one of them might fit your situation?

none fits. it just says i need a student number. do i need to get all my decisions, make my top choice uni, and only then get the student id? is taht how it works?

Wait have you not selected UCL as a firm or insurance choice yet? If so then you probably can't book accommodation yet.

but then how do i even set it as a firm choice? do i have to wiat until all my unis respond? UCL is alr my first choice and i dont want to apply housing late just because my safeties are taking long to respond.

You don't have to wait for all your offers to come in, although it's recommended. Universities should not pressure you to accept offers early due to threatening you may not get accommodation.
It's unclear what you mean by "first choice". You need to accept the offer as your firm choice on UCAS, simply having it as the first listed university without accepting it doesn't mean anything. To make UCL your firm choice you need to have already received an offer from UCL, and then you can choose it as your firm.;
If you don't understand how UCAS works I would recommend contacting them for help in navigating the system.
Note also you may need to do some stuff on UCLs application platform, Portico, as well.

ucas is down rn, so i cant see, but i dont remember seeing an option to make firm chioces. ill check on portico tho thank you for ur help!

Once you get all your offers confirmed you can make a decision on your firm and insurance choice, you don't need to do it right away, but to apply for UCL accommodation you will need to have firmed the university.

if you have made a UCL applicant account that should work as your login for the last option, it's what I did when I applied last year.

You'll need an email address and your UCL Student Number, which is quoted on all communications UCL sends you. this is what it says. do i need to firm it first? i cant because i appleid with predicted.

you can firm with predicted grades, you just need to wait for all your applications to be confirmed or rejected. Then your UCAS will allow you to choose

I had this problem last year and so did many other students. You use your portico log in details, you will not get your student id number yet.
