i want to do an epq, my alevels are maths further maths and chemistry and i want to study mechtronic engineering/robotics. I was doing politics alevel but ended up dropping it. Sooo my question is it a bad idea to do my epq topic related to politics and philosophy? Its what im interested in, how could i link this to what i want to study?

hi!

My names Katy and i did an EPQ in A-level, my result was A*!

I would definitely recommend you do something you are interested in as it makes it so much easier. It doesnt have to be related to your A-levels so it should be fine 🙂 I would double check with all your A-level teachers that there is no crossover!

You could easily link it to what you want to study by linking your knowledge with your epq and finding overlaps during the rsesearch aspect of your EPQ. You could also say in your diary and presentation that you want to do this topic because you believe it will help you learn more about what you plan on studying at uni or in the future and how it would benefit you to know more!
