Postgraduate loan for unfunded final-year PhD student

I am a final-year PhD student writing up my thesis.
I received 3.5 years of funding from AHRC, but this has now ended.
Does anyone know if I can apply for a short-term (6 months) loan from Student Finance England, to cover living costs while I finish my thesis?

Hi Gina,
Based on this you're not eligible for funding from us, unfortunately.
When you get funding from the Research Council this makes you ineligible for funding from us for the duration of your course.
In this case we'd suggest speaking to your university's Finance team: they may be able to offer help and advice.
