applying for means tested loan without getting the loan

hi guys
basically, I've already applied for a tuition loan without a maintenance loan because I didn't realise you needed it to apply for the uni bursary
so how can I apply for it now?
The thing is I don't know where I'm meant to specify I dont want the loan, and that I'm just doing it to get my household income submitted to my university. I was wondering if you guys could help.
Thanks

Hi there, if applying for a maintenance loan (fully means tested) for the purpose of the bursary only we would advise to apply for both tuition fees and full maintenance loan on the initial application, but then also send a Maintenance Loan Request form confirming the amount of £0. A covering letter can also help to confirm this (but is not always required). The assessment team then assesses the application fully, but apply £0 maintenance award, but the household information is then available to the university for their own internal bursary process. So, if you have received your award notification but for tuition fees only, you can change the maintenance loan request via your online account: https://www.gov.uk/guidance/student-finance-england-how-to-guide
I have provided the guide to show you how to change this online.
How old are you currently? If over 25, are you married or living with a partner?
Thanks, Stephen

Hi there,

Thanks, when you applied did you give your parents' details? If so, were they able to support your application okay and provide their income details?

Thanks, Graeme

Hi there,

Just to confirm you did apply for UK home funding and not the Tuition Fee Loan only as an EU student?

Thanks, Drew

Hi Noname60,

Thank you. You can complete and upload the include household income form and your parents need to complete the PFF2 form to provide their details. If you selected that you do not wish to receive the Maintenance Loan on your application, all you need to do is complete those 2 forms so that your university can use the income details to review your application for the bursary with them.
