Just wanted to confirm something. The name of this course on the LSE Website and on my UCAS Portal is ‘International Social and Public Policy with Economics’ However, on the confirmation email I got sent from LSE in October, it says ‘International Social and Public Policy and Economics’. Is this is an issue?

Still waiting on an ISPP w/ pol response, but saw someone on LinkedIn with an ISPP w/ econ offer

What did you guys cover in your personal statement? I would like to apply for the course next year but I am not sure where to start? Your advice would be much appreciated.

honestly not worth it, there’s a reason the entry requirements are so low, the teaching isn’t that good for this course, everyone kinda looks down on you (especially econ students) and career wise not great unless you want to work in policy (not that well paid) so if your tryna get into finance your better off doing good course at a slightly lower ranked uni like warwick or even nottingham, if you do want to get into policy then i recommend just doing ISPP it self

This might be too late but I had a*aa in drama, Phil, and English lit (a* in Phil). my rejection said it was because of my ps and this is supposedly the first stage of rejection so I don’t think it went very far!!! But I got offers from Durham,ox and kings (a lot of ppl that get offers from other competitive unis get rejected from LSE for some reason). If it helps I allowed to philosophy and theology at other unis so my ps was mostly political philosophy - it’s possible that my ps just wasn’t centered enough on the course?

Yeah i applied for ISPP but I would say Social Policy + Econ at Edinburgh is my top choice after reading people's reviews of ISPP at LSE.

Is this still valid though? I thought degree doesn’t really matter for finance, especially if you’re at LSE. Looking at the modules, it seems that I can make 50% of the course economics anyways.

just got rejected for ispp w/ econ and ispp w/ politics. lol my ps was completely for ispp w/econ too.

i’d say so, yeah degree is usually less important but lse still isn’t oxbridge. i don’t know anyone who got an internship in ib if that’s what you want, but mid office roles are more likely so i don’t recommend this degree if your just tryna ‘cheat’ the system. i’d recommend politics and economics or ppe if high finance is what you want, it’s got some similarities to ispp + econ and only a grade higher entry req but way better prospects.
