Mpharm Kingston

Hello is anyone currently studying pharmacy at Kingston University? How is it like? How is the uni?
Good Morning!

I do pharmaceutical science - however I share some modules with people on the Pharmacy course. Modules are delivered very well with workshops to consolidate your learning. I find that the lecturers are really approachable and easy to contact. Lecture slides are really detailed as well which helps!

The uni itself is a beautiful campus and I really like the townhouse as well. Labs are well spaced and there are lots of areas to relax and do some revision. As you go up the floors in the townhouse, the quieter it gets, so you can do to any floor that suits the work you will be doing! They have macbooks however I do prefer computers, and there is a mixture of those to use! Library staff are helpful and can help you print things in bigger sizes and printing costs are cheap.

My experience at Kingston led me to complete my masters here because I liked the facilities and the lecturers attitude to teaching - they really care about your grades and you can book 1:1 meetings with them too!

If you have more specific questions, I am happy to answer.

Kind regards, Jenifer (Kingston rep)

Good morning!

Student life is good! There are lots of spots to eat at Kingston and societies are very active - there is always events going on and its easy to make friends. ACS and ISOC are the biggest societies here at Kingston. Pharmacy itself tends to have quite a big cohort so there will be lots of opportunities to make friends! Courses are delivered through a mixture of lectures and workshops, and you may have assignments, exams or presentations which count towards your final grade. Kingston use an interface known as Canvas for this, which is where slide sets are uploaded. Additionally, there are events held by the careers service to help with employability skills with companies ranging from big corporations to SME's and you can directly speak to employees regarding potential roles.

Transportation is really good! Roughly 30 mins to 40 mins away from central london and there are also buses that link kingston to neighbouring towns such as sutton.

Hope this helps!
