I still don't understand your question

Does anyone know if the questions are generic behavioural ones or are they specific? i.e. Can you provide an example of a time you led a team through a difficult challenge? Oppose to; Tell us about a time there was a sensitive issue within a team and how you dealt with it?

Wondering the same if anyone can help?

I guess the best thing to do is prep an example and hope it fits the question 🙈

I can't believe everyone asking tips while everyone knows that whoever replying or answering in this discussion they all applied and we are competing with each other.i believe no one going to disclose questions ,so there is no point to asking same questions in multiple way.we can practice only.i do appreciate that some folks Guided regarding process..I think that more than enough.

If your example is strong enough, it shouldn’t matter how the question is asked, as a strong example will cover all the criteria of the behaviour. For example, if I was asked “Tell me about a time when you led a team”, or “Tell me about a time when you resolved team conflict in leading a project”, my example would still be able to cover both questions as conflict resolving is part of the leadership behaviour for the grade. Hope it makes sense. And usually at an SEO grade you should be prepared for the questions to be asked in any format, and situational questions. The straight forward ones tend to be around EO grade and below. The most you can do is look at the behaviours and check your examples are in line with the criteria, because it shouldn’t matter what question they ask, your behaviour example would cover it.

It went well. I have received an invite for a pre-recorded interview so hopefully it goes well. I didn’t enjoy the Caseworker role as the training was very lengthy and a bit like I was back in college with the assignments etc. The manager role is a little relaxed but they also have operational management roles too where you’re not directly managing Caseworkers. I’m more interested in that. How did you get on with the online test?

Best of Luck Aysha! Any info on the prerecorded interview would be so helpful. I am new to all of this.

Thank you

Thanks Aysha, I don’t have a CS background so I appreciate your help, that makes sense now. All the best for your interview, I wish you every success!

I never asked for the questions and never would. I think people that don’t come from a CS background are looking for a bit of insight as they have never went through the process and not going to lie, it’s very confusing. Also, it’s not competing if you’re confident enough in your own abilities, good luck to you.

They usually give you a role depending on your chosen locations. The last time I accepted a HEO Leadership role, there were various different roles at the same grade. I got sent a location preference sheet that detailed the roles available at different locations. I chose one Team Leader role, and ops manager and a non-management role. I got given a Team Leader role at my preferred location but I didn’t mind that. They will have a certain number of roles as an ops manager in different locations. You can try asking the contact email in the advert about how many roles are of that kind and what locations at. If you are offered a position that you’re not happy with you can usually ask for another but it depends on merit and how well you’ve scored etc if the position is competitive.

Thanks for replying Aysha will the salary be different for the Opps Manager role ?

What was the presentation and interview process like after the recorded interview, should we reach that stage it’s good to be prepared?
And also is there a reserve list incase you meet the criteria but no current roles etc and lastly is there a chance they may offer you alternative roles also? Thanks

They’re mainly questions for the recruitment team. As this is a different campaign I didn’t have to do a presentation so it was behavioural and strength based questions at interview for me

Did you have to do a presentation/face to face interview in addition to a pre-recorded interview or was it just one interview? Sorry I didn't word my initial question properly.
