opinions on degree apprenticeships?! - are they as good as they're made out to be

I'm in year 12 and i'm currently studying Biology, Maths, Physics and AS Level Geology. I honestly feel quite lost at the idea of uni, I have no idea what course I would want to do as well as career prospects afterwards. I started looking into degree apprenticeships and the idea of being paid full time, gaining work experience and getting a degree seems like the way to go, but i'd really appreciate honest opinions on what life is like doing a degree apprenticeship. The only thing really putting me off is the uni social life which i'm guessing you don't really get when doing an apprenticeship. If you could answer a few of my questions that would be fab!!
1. What is the work life balance like?? - including social life
2. Do people tend to move out and rent their own accom or stay at home?
3. What does your day to day routine look like throughout the week? - do you have time for hobbies, exercise etc
4. Do you have any regrets about not going to uni?

I have regrets about going to University. I graduated 2 and a half years ago back and I can’t find a graduate job. I can’t even do an apprenticeship in the subject that I want to because my degree overlaps the apprenticeship content apparently when it doesn’t. I so had wished I was doing an Apprenticeship.

Apply for both universities and Degree Apprenticeships then chose based on A Level results.
You will still have to decide on a focus though. Alternatively take a gap year, get a part time job and review for the following year. This gives you both A Level results and time to research and spend time on Apprenticeship applications which are very tough. And again a chance to decide on which career route suits you.
There is a social life for apprentices too as firms and Apprenticeship suppliers also encourage networking and socialising with your cohort.
Hope that helps.
