gcse french help

hi i’m doing higher french but i’m awful at reading and listening
However my writing and speaking are really good and i get 8s/9s
I’m just writing to ask whether my speaking and writing will be enough for a 7 overall, even if my reading and listening are at a low 6/ high 5

It could average out to a 7 if you do really good on writing and speaking but make sure you dont just give up on the reading and listening. Make sure you keep revising and practicing to improve your skills. Maybe switch the audio on one of your favourite shows to french and add english subtitles so you can get used to hearing french. Or add french subtitles to an english show to improve your reading skills.

I did National 5 French which I think is the Scottish equivalent to GCSE french, I got 29/30 in reading 17/20 in listening and 12/20 in listening and full marks in the assignement aspect and overall worked out at an a band 1 which is a 9. So as long as you really work on your reading and talking I don't see why you couldn't get a 7
