Are uni doctors more willing to actually treat you than home GPs?

I've had pretty much chronic migraines and stomach issues and insomnia for nearly ten years now that I've been seeing doctors about on and off over those periods. But my doctor only ever does very basic blood tests, and when they come back clear they tell me they're not going to do further tests and that "some people just get more headaches, stomachaches, take longer to fall asleep, etc than others". Over the past year my mental and physical health has become debilitating to the point that I can't even study and am barely functional and have basically already failed this year. Doctor at home won't do anything so would seeing the college/uni doctor when I go back in October likely lead to a better outcome? Like because they mainly treat students would they be more understanding and likely to actually acknowledge the problems I'm having?

I'm very sorry to hear your home doctor hasn't taken your concerns seriously, that's incredibly poor conduct from them. Nobody can necessarily guarantee whether one kind of doctor will be better than another, but I would definitely consider visiting a different doctor to get a second opinion, whether that be your uni doctor, requesting a different doctor at your current GP or requesting a referral to a different practice. I hope you are able to find the help that you need.

try it and see
I doubt them being a uni/student doctor would make much difference tbh. Same odds as getting a second opinion from any doctor.

I've seen basically every doctor at my local practice and they're all equally as dismissive lol
