Epq help!!!!!

I have just started my epq and need help on coming up with a question

the epq is going to include the burning sun scandal, kim soo hyun and kim sae ron controversy and nct taeil's controversy aswell

i have yet to add more cases but initially i think im going to go along the lines of "korea has been idolised to the extent many are able to defend their idols" yall im not sure....

i want to talk abt the three topics but im contemplating on adding beauty standards and all that are just sticking the the "crime" perspective as i want to do law with crim at uni

Make sure that you're not trying to cover too much. The EPQ commands depth and not breadth when it comes to what topic you're doing - if it's too broad then your work may be seen as unfocused, limiting your suitability to access the higher mark bands.

The question you’ve come up with is unclear. Change it something more general ‘how far has idolization been abused in South Korea’s entertainment law?’ Also, your idea of discussing cases is good, but don’t overdo it. Go for 3 to 4. The beauty standards conversation is irrelevant because you’re going to be focusing on how fan response affects cases and actions taken. Another thing you should look out for are time periods. The burning sun scandal is a must have. However, the KSH and Taeil scandals all happened within a similar time frame of a few months. Try to talk about more past events and not just recent events to show that this is truly an ongoing issue, and it will allow you to comment on South Korean’s legal industry as a whole and not just entertainment law. Hope this helps!

The thing @mesub said is really true btw. I did a political/legal/historical EPQ this year and covering enough events was really hard, so I just stuck with the most important things. It may be tempting to talk about something like Kim soo Hyun because he’s a popular actor and all but there is a lot still covered and undecided you wouldn’t be able to get into depth, which is not good for the EQP.
