ear piercing advice

So i’ve only had my piercing for a couple of weeks, I’ve been cleaning them by soaking them in a homemade salt solution for at least 3-5 minutes twice a day. However i’ve also been noticing discharge around the jewellery, which I know is normal in the healing process.

I just wanted to ask that while I am soaking the piercing should I also use a Q-tip to wipe away the discharge everyday, or is it better if I continue to just soak it without touching it? I’m only worried because I don’t want to keep disturbing the healing piercing by moving it everytime I wipe it.

Doesn’t really matter tbh. I have 12 ear piercings, some I cleaned obsessively, some I did myself and never cleaned except with shower water when I washed my hair, all healed fine, just vaguely clean it and avoid touching it where possible and you’ll be fine

Hi.
Is good that you clean up the build up and discharge without hurting the surrounding skin.
