i've applied for, and received an offer for graphic and media design at lcc, but am considering requesting to change to design for art direction.
i'm more specialised in graphic design as well as photography, but would consider myself quite interdisciplinary, wanting to experiment with many different mediums - for example, i've always wanted to explore integrating film and audiovisual into my practice. i also have an affinity for storytelling, as opposed to mere branding or typography.
i like how open-ended the course seems, but i'm slightly confused as it seems it's more fixated on coming up with the ideas and then getting others to put it into practice, do you not get a chance to explore doing so yourself - i.e. learning how to film and edit.
would just like some advice from someone who's maybe been on the course, or had a similar problem to me.
thank you.
