Last minute GCSE advice?

Planning for 2 months time :/
- what should I be doing to maximise success during gcses? also amount of revision each day
- how can I stay as chill as possible throughout the whole exam period?
- any tips you wished you knew?

Thank you!

1.

Revise as much as you can now because you won’t be in the mood to revise during exam season! It’s so tiring.

2.

Do what you don’t want to do. Practice the questions and topics you’ve been avoiding. With maths, for example, do the hardest questions. I made this mistake and kept doing questions mindlessly even though I knew I could do them.

3.

What’s done is done. Don’t fret over an exam once it’s over. I know it’s easier said than done, but don’t look at answers or compared answers after an exam. There is nothing you can do once an exam is over.

4.

Be proud of yourself! You’ve worked hard and you’ll do brilliantly. You’ve got this ❤️

Hey @VaBook7,

At this point, you should hopefully be using some past paper questions to help you revise - furthermore, to improve exam timings, try and complete one or two full past papers before your final exam under strict exam conditions (e.g. set a timer for how long the paper will take and try and complete the paper in a room without distraction). The ideal amount of daily revision will depend on your individual needs - are there any subjects you're particularly struggling with that you might need to dedicate more time to?

In terms of staying chill throughout the exam period: take breaks! Remember that no matter what happens, it's not the end of the world. Re-sits are always possible if something out of your control happens on an exam day, and GCSEs are only one form of qualification available to you. 🙂

Best of luck!
