help a level options

hi i'm in y11 and i rlly want to do finance so i want to do actuarial science at LSE or MORSE at warwick, and for both the only required subject is maths and fm, but lse recommends physics or chem for that course

i am thinking to take maths fm physics and then i don't know the last option if i shld take spanish or econ. i rlly enjoy spanish but idk only bc
1) if it is rlly hard to get an A in then that's not ideal , i want to get an A /A star in everything
2) idk if it will weaken my application compared to econ. idm doing econ i would just massively prefer spanish, since i rlly love it and am good at gcse level but idk ab at a level (i am not a native speaker tho)

what is the best combination to take? i know people also who did acturial science at lse with bio chem maths fm so no econ, but i just don't know for certain and i don't want to reduce my chances

Since both LSE and Warwick prioritize maths and further maths for actuarial science or MORSE, your combo of maths, FM, and physics is already strong. Now, for the fourth subject, if you love Spanish and are confident you can maintain an A/A*, go for it, passion and high grades will strengthen your application, and unis appreciate well-rounded candidates!

However, if you’re worried about difficulty (especially as a non-native speaker), econ might feel safer and more directly relevant, though it’s not a must (as you’ve seen with bio/chem students). Ultimately, choose Spanish if you’re genuinely motivated—it won’t weaken your application if you excel, and enjoying your subjects will keep you sane during A-levels!

Just check LSE’s stance on languages (some courses prefer "traditional" subjects), but if they’re flexible, follow your heart!
