Nurse necesseties

Hi. I'm starting mnurse adults/mental health at the university of Bradford in September. Does any nurses or healthcare students have any recommendations of what I need to buy. I need the full lot haha from shoes to stationary to basic nurse needs or even just tips and tricks. Any advice is much appreciated <33

Hi
Congratulations 👏 👏 on your offer of mental health nursing at university.

Things to buy 😂
Shoes - very comfortable ones ( sketchers or Clarks) - check out your university uniform policy to see what they say about what you can wear - some allows you to wear either shoes or trainers or both) before you buy them.

Pens - lots and lots of pens

Notebooks ( A4 for coursework writing down in lectures etc)
Pocket notebooks for when you are on placement as take down notes on what you are doing during your shift and you can write it up later on your A4 or on your computer.

Fob watch - silicone ones are okay as easy to clean.

You can buy a stethoscope rather than use the provided ones.....

Holdall or backpack bag for keeping your stuff in.
Don't worry about any books as you'll be given a PDF list of what books etc you'll have to use during your coursework and you should be able to borrow them from the university library or even local council library.

Don't be afraid to ask your course leader for any advice on your coursework.

Good luck with your course 😀
