A levels/BTEC

Hi all,

I am looking at college courses now and am thinking;
- computer science (BTEC)
- Maths (A level)
- Engineering (BTEC)

I do not really care about getting into a top university (I would probably try and get an apprenticeship) so do not mind about the BTECs but I am not sure if I want to go into engineering or computing so for my 4th I am stuck between Further Maths or Physics.

Any and all advice greatly appreciated.

Hiya,
These sound like good options! Do you know if it’s mandatory to take a 4th option? Taking further maths would definitely support your maths grade, and if you take physics, some content would crossover into maths, honestly just choose what you want if you’re not too strict about university choices. Just consider what really interests you? More maths or doing more lab / practical work?
I’d recommend looking at open days or insight days anyways to broaden your horizons a bit and to explore some more courses if you’re not too keen about engineering / computing,

These are quite difficult subjects but you got this!
(I took Econ, Psych, Maths + Compsci as a-level subjects for context)

I wish you the very best with your studies,
