York St John can't select accomodation

Argggh! The site keeps crashing, I've been trying constantly since 10:00 today to log in to add my room preferences and it just won't load. i've tried on my phone and laptop. Anyone else?

Yup same here, keeps telling me the "this site can't be reached". I'm in a lecture right now as writing this (Foundation year elsewhere) so was going too call the admission team afterwards. But if others are having that issue, i'm glad i'm not the only one lol.

Just phoned the accomodation team. A very harrassed woman told me that Chrome doesn't work and to try Microsoft Edge as a browser to access the accomodation hub. Surprisingly this doesn't work either. Going to phone again.

Same!!!! i’m on microsoft edge it’s not working on here, i’ve tried on safari as well?? has anyone managed to get on?

So I have just called the admissions team and can confirm as per my previous comment that the server did crash and due to it being just a small team they're working the best they can too get it sorted, just so many people tried logging on at once the server couldn't handle it 🙂 So anyone that's worrying, dont worry it's everyone lol

Hi everyone,

I can confirm that the accommodation hub is running, but as you've said in this thread, due to the high volume of users on the server it is being rather slow. If you haven't already, try using Microsoft Edge rather than Chrome, clearing your browser cache, and using a laptop. Please do get in contact with the accommodation team if the issue persists ([email protected]) - they're aware of the issue and appreciate everyone's patience, they are trying to resolve it as soon as possible!

It's definitely not just you! The team are aware and trying their best to resolve the issue! Have you managed to get through onto the site now? :smile:

If you haven't already, try using Microsoft Edge as your browser, and use a laptop to access the website!
