Oxbridge application

Hi,

I understand that it is not possible to apply to both Oxford and Cambridge simultaneously through UCAS. However, I am very keen on applying to both universities. Despite the application process being demanding and time-consuming, I am fully prepared to manage the task independently. Given this, I am wondering whether it would be feasible to apply to one university individually, rather than through UCAS, or if the system requires all applications to be submitted through UCAS?.

Really? :frown: because I was told I can do it individually but it’ll be a lot of work but I wasn’t sure

All applications have to be through UCAS.
There is no sneaky back-door.

Who told you that?
Unless you’re an organ scholar it’s not possible to apply for both for full time undergraduate study.

If it was possible everyone who wanted to apply to one would also apply to the other. UCAS is the only route.

You can apply to both at postgraduate level. Maybe whoever was advising you got confused as they knew someone who applied to a Masters at both.
