No, you'll likely have a 'welcome week' type scenario which is a series of inductions where you'll get your timetables and get talked through what the course looks like (modules etc) and introduced to key staff members. You'll probably have things like library sessions (to show you how to use the university library system), talked through the university's rules and regulations as well as those specific to your course, like which referencing system to use, plagiarism (what it is and how to avoid it), as well as talking to you about health clearances (you need vaccines before going on placement), where you can access support for learning, pastoral or financial needs, what's expected of you in terms of behaviour, attendance and performance. Plus practical things like uniform and fire safety in the building.
Lectures/Teaching will probably start properly in the second or third week.
