Functional skills

Hi all,
I am looking for a functional skills provider for both maths and English in the stoke on Trent area, I want to an apprenticeship through the university but I need my maths and English before I can proceed. Would any company that advertises Functional skills be suitable or is it better to go for a place that's more highly recognised like a college, I'm trying to find something more flexible for my work hours and don't know if I can fully commit to a college environment and survive my hours being cut to accommodate classes and being able to survive on less money in this economy.

I'm looking for guidance really and any recommendations.

Don't do Functional skills ever i made a post about this. If you do all of them don't even think about your future please just stay at home don't do GCSES!

I’m doing mine with Pathway group. It’s all online but then you complete the tests in their offices in Burslem.

Don't do all of them. If you want to try try its your education path. But I won't suggest it it ruins people's lives just like it did mine.

Why does it?

Because it's considered lower than GCSES, A Levels shall i go on? Something to do with government or their way of thinking maybe I don't know. But don't suspect just by passing ELC and wasting years on those you'll get the opportunities the same time as you usually would just like everyone else that follow the curriculum.
