Uni of Manchester accommodation

why is uom accommodation so expensive? I have heard bad things about the more inexpensive accoms eg whitworth.
Is the accommodation for places like unsworth park even manageable to pay?

I don't go to UoM, but hopefully I can help.

Unfortunately, it seems that accommodation costs are rising. Not just for Manchester, but for a lot of universities. It should be no surprise that newer, more 'stylish' accommodation options would be more expensive too. For the more inexpensive options, they'll still give you everything you need as a student. Unless you have the means, there is no need to splash out on the lavish options, as you can make the most out of your experience anywhere. People have bad experiences everywhere, so be mindful of what you hear from others, as they'll often talk down about the less attractive options!

If you can, I'd recommend attending an Open or Applicant Day. Touring accommodation will help you to feel more secure with your choices, and will help you understand a little more about what is on offer there. It appears they have a wide range of choices too, which should be catering to every need and budget, so I'm sure there is something for you.
