university study journal˚୨୧⋆。˚ ⋆

Hello everyone!

After being very inactive on TSR since finishing my A Levels last year, I have decided to go back to my blogging era  I think documenting my university experience will motivate me to make the most of my time here, and I would love to connect with other uni students!

Here is some basic information about me.

Name: beeeee
Subject(s): languages (Spanish and Chinese)
Year of Study: first year
Job: working on it, need a part-time job:bee:

I will be updating this blog to document any significant parts of my uni life, including, but not limited to, studying, library sessions, going out with friends and prepping for exams!

Attended Chinese Studies lecture

started reading a Portuguese book

worked on my Spanish portfolio and Spanish presentation

finished my Chinese portfolio

Overall, a very productive day, although there's a few things I planned that I didn't get around to doing, such as reading my book for the Spanish portfolio and continuing my Chinese Studies assignment. I can always work on those later, with Easter coming up I think I'll have plenty of time to get everything done. I also had a job interview on Monday, so I'm hoping that'll work out!! We'll have to see.) Hope everyone had a good day.

went to Year Abroad briefing session

spent 2.5 hours in Chinese club

submitted my Chinese portfolio

The Year Abroad briefing session was really good in helping me to decide where I want to go for my year abroad. So far, I'm thinking either Taiwan or Hong Kong for the first half of the year and maybe a small city in Spain for the other. However, it's made me really worry about the finances - I still don't have a job as the bar I did the interview with on Monday hasn't got back to me yet (although they did say Thursday OR Friday, so there's still time), and if I don't manage to find one soon I'm pretty much cooked as I not only need money to live but also need to save up so much for third year already. Is anyone else feeling the same way? It's quite stressful.
Chinese club was really fun, we each bought some Chinese/Taiwanese snacks to share, and our Chinese teacher also joined us to see what we were up to. We played a board game called 'Codenames' but instead of normal pictures we used Chinese characters and pinyin, and had to give the clues in Chinese. It was great for memorising vocabulary!
My Chinese portfolio is finally done and dusted, so during the Easter holidays I'm going to focus on my Spanish one, as well an essay I have to write for Chinese Studies. I am really looking forward to the break, although I don't know when exactly I'll be going back to my hometown or how long for. Either way, I'll have plenty of time to both rest and get on with my remaining assignments.
That's probably all the updates for Wednesday (there was a lot of them, I know haha), I'll update again tomorrow! Hope everyone had a good day.
