Pre-registration MSc Radiotherapy and Oncology in Practice at SHU

I would like to know if like other allied health pre-reg courses (eg Pre-reg nursing) the pre-registration MSc -Radiotherapy and Oncology in Practice at SHU is eligible for the undergraduate model of funding (full tuition fees and maintenance loan). Can anyone help with this?

I have already completed an MSc so cannot apply for postgrad funding again.

Thanks for your reply, it starts Jan 2026 and is at Sheffield Hallam University the full course is MSc Radiotherapy and Oncology in Practice

It is 2 years, I believe the academic part is distance learning but there are clinical placements and simulated clinical workshops / in person seminars too - hope that makes sense. I saw a thread that suggested it will soon have the same funding as the other AHP 2 year pre reg courses but it doesn’t say on the Sheffield Hallam website yet.

Hi there,

When I have looked at the database there is no 2 year option for the Radiotherapy and Oncology for the 2025/26 academic year. They did have the course in the previous academic year so it may just be that the university have not updated the database yet. You would not be able to apply until the database is updated but when you apply it would be for undergraduate.
