Hi,

If you’re interested in Law at Northumbria and have any specific questions please let us know. Law at Northumbria is ranked 6th in the UK (Daily Mail University Guide, 2025). You might find the Law LLB (Hons) course page useful for more information.

If you’d like to visit Northumbria and have a look around the campus our next Open Days are on the 27th and 28th June.

There will also be the opportunity to have a look at some of our accommodation options at the Open Days but you can also view our accommodation web page for more information. 🏠️

If there's any questions you have, please let us know.

There much better unis out there. I guess it’s fine if you want to work in a high street firm. Why Northumbria? Are you international?

Along with Nottingham Trent, it's one of the best ex-polytechnics (i.e. not a 'traditional' university) for Law. But if you can get in Leicester or Reading for about the same grades, I'd go to Leicester or Reading instead. Leicester University is nice.

Hi! I go to Northumbria for Law and am about to go into my second year. So far, it has been great -- the support from staff is incredible, and you are presented with so many opportunities (we have already discussed years abroad, short trips abroad, networking events etc, all things beneficial to anyone wanting to develop a legal career). The lectures are well-paced, and the content is clear, you never feel as though a lecturer is going too fast a pace, or too slow. The accommodation options are very good as well from what I've heard!
