SLT at Ulster university

I am currently a year 1 student studying food science and nutrition at queens university Belfast. However I don’t think the course is right for me and am considering taking a year out to apply for Speech and Language Therapy at Ulster. Can anyone give me any advice - are the odds of getting into that course too slim to take this risk?

Maybe talk to your uni an an internal transfer or internal application but I do want to take a year out for for it find out the amount of places available and see if you meet the requirements and maybe speak to a careers advisor at the uni

There is an entry test for SLT called the MSAT , you have already missed the MSAT for sept 2025 but you could do it next year for sept 2026 entry. About transferring you would have to apply to first year entry like everyone else (next year) as it is determined by entrance exam
