Wolverhampton GCSE Exam Boards 2004

Hi,

A long shot but having some trouble chasing down which exam board did Maths GCSE in 2004 (Wolverhampton) as I need a certificate for a new course. My secondary school no longer exists and so I am unable to find out through there.

Any ideas?
Thanks in advance
Greg

Hey Greg, that sounds like a tricky situation, but there are a few ways you can track it down. In 2004, the main exam boards for GCSE Maths would have been AQA, Edexcel, OCR, or WJEC. If you’re not sure which one you took, you can contact all of them to check their records—they usually have a process for retrieving old certificates or issuing a replacement.
Since your secondary school no longer exists, you could try reaching out to the local education authority in Wolverhampton—they might have records of which exam board your school used at the time. If you remember any details from your exam papers or results slip (like a logo or the layout), that might help jog your memory. Hope that helps, and good luck with your new course!
