Hi, I'm also going through the same process. I've been getting more recommendations for Liverpool than Plymouth, but I'm not sure why.

Hey there! 😊 Glad to hear you're considering Plymouth for medicine!

Although I study a different subject, I'd be happy to cover a few reasons why I chose Plymouth below for a bit of general guidance about the campus/city.

If you'd like to chat to a current medicine student, Diksha is available to answer any subject-specific questions and chat about their medicine experience on our Unibuddy page! 😄

The city is one of the main reasons that drew me to Plymouth- it's a very walkable city with a reasonably student-friendly cost of living and great location. There are plenty of incredible views around with the campus just a few minutes from the national marine park, plus Dartmoor, Central Park, and other green spaces around (including our new campus park coming soon!) There are also so many shops and entertainment spots just seconds from the campus in the heart of the city.

The campus itself is super lovely with great infrastructure and facilities. The university seems to have really invested in the student experience with plenty of spaces to chill out, study, and specialist facilities to work in throughout your course.

🌟 InterCity Place is the brand new healthcare building dedicated for those subjects needing state of the art facilities, equipment, and spaces to learn. There are some super cool resources and spaces in this building that I know of and I don't even study in this subject area!! Definitely check it out on an open day if you get the chance!

If you have any more questions about Plymouth in general, feel free to reach out or to our Unibuddy medicine ambassador who can answer the more course-specific technical queries!!

Best of luck! 😊
