Sometimes, when you're busy with your studies and exams, you may wish to modify your study environment to recharge your energy and get motivation to conquer the obstacle.
There are various fascinating libraries and study places in London. As a student at City St George's, University of London, my first option is usually Northampton Square Library, but on days when I need a change of pace, here are my 3 favourite alternatives:
1. THE BRITISH LIBRARY
The British Library, located in the heart of London, is one of the world's most significant cultural and academic institutions. Aside from its position as a repository, the British Library provides a dynamic study environment. You can study at the public desks area or register for a free Reading Pass to enter 11 Reading Rooms in London.
2. SENATE HOUSE LIBRARY
If you are preparing for or are already a University of London student, Senate House Library is a must-visit. The library provides a quiet and inspiring environment for study and research, with extensive facilities, including reading rooms, private study spaces, and digital resources.
3. WATCH HOUSE SOMERSET HOUSE
My recent favourite spot is a cafe. Unlike the libraries above, this is an open space within the grounds of Somerset House, so if you’re looking for something more active than quiet, this might be an option worth considering.
What about you? Which one do you frequent or desire to visit the most? What is it about that location that you cannot miss?
