hi, i have my gcses in a couple of weeks. could anyone pls give me some tips to improve in gsce computer science edexcel (both the coding and the theory)!! does anyone also have like predictions asw for this year and if you have notes pls can u share tysmm

Hey! I also have my GCSEs soon. For the coding part, I'd recommend W3Schools: they have a website that explains how many useful functions that aren't on the PLS work. If you want to practice coding, try using the Perse Coding Challenge or OUCC past papers. Some of them give you answers as well. If you want something more difficult, use the website Hackerrank. However, most of the challenges on Hackerrank are probably beyond GCSE.

For theory notes, I use a website called Study smarter. If you have an account, I can add you to my study set? There are digital notes as well as flashcards for each topic on the Edexcel spec (although some of them aren't very good, lol)

Once again, I apologise if you do not like any of the flashcards. They make sense to me, but to other people the context behind them is lost. I don't know if this is possible, but if it is, try to copy them into your own study set and hopefully then you can edit them.

hii i did cs last year and got a 9

for coding, i had like a red amber green sheet of all the stuff u need to learn given to me by my teacher but i threw away all my cs stuff after the exam 😓 i prioritised learning how to do amber topics first then worked my way to getting the red topics amber to green
after i was able to get majority of topics in green, i spammed like every single coding past paper (this was in may lol)
i would try to do it without the mark scheme and when i got closer to exam i did them timed
if i rlly struggled with something, i would pull up the mark scheme and try figure out how it worked

for paper 1 idk i think i did the same red amber green thing and also i would just pick a topic every day and infodump then looked back at flashcards for stuff i missed and wrote it in a diff colour (blurting ig) and focus my revision on the stuff i missed
